Jon Rahm capped a strong week at JCB Golf & Country Club, closing the LIV Golf UK at -10 total (71-67-65) for a T5 individual finish. His final-round 65 —the team’s best score of the day— proved decisive as Legion XIII clinched the team title at -35, ahead of Torque GC and Stinger GC.
The tournament was won by Joaquín Niemann at -17, with Bubba Watson second (-14) and Rahm’s teammate Caleb Surratt earning his first LIV podium at -13 (67-68-65). Tom McKibbin (T11) and Tyrrell Hatton (T15) completed the all-around effort that secured the collective victory.
Captain’s Sunday
Rahm entered Sunday with room to move and delivered a flawless 65 that, paired with Surratt’s 65, flipped the team leaderboard: -14 for Legion XIII in the final round and an eight-stroke win. “This year’s change, with all four scores counting, I thought would benefit us,” the captain had noted weeks earlier when assessing the squad’s depth.
