Jon Rahm finished the Farmers Insurance Open with another solid performance. The golfer from Barrika ended up in fifth place after shooting a 62, 72, 68 and 72. His debut on Thursday was sublime, matching his best score as a professional on the Torrey Pines North Course.

Rahm was in the fight for the win from start to finish. In fact, he played in the star game with Justin Rose and Adam Scott. He wasn’t able to repeat history in the end, and take home the win like he did in 2017, but he did end up with a remarkable top 5.

It’s Rahm’s fifth consecutive top ten. He’s finished in the top ten in every tournament in 2019 thus far. An extraordinary display of consistency, especially when being put to the test, under pressure to perform. Rham is going full speed ahead, and that determination has allowed him to climb to sixth place in the world rankings, maintaining his position in the top 30 of the FedEx Cup.

The Farmers was a very special week for the Basque golfer. Not only because he won his first tournament as a professional there, but also because it’s where he proposed to his girlfriend. Kelley Cahill, and it’s where he played in his first and only PGA Tour qualifying tournament. It was also special because his whole family was there, his grandma, Miren, at the head of the pack. It’s the first time she’s seen him play a tournament in the US. He definitely put on quite the show for them.
