Jon Rahm produced a historic 60 (-11) in the final round of LIV Golf Indianapolis to force a playoff and, although he fell to Sebastián Muñoz in extra holes, he clinched the 2025 Individual Championship after overtaking Joaquín Niemann in the season standings. It was a thrilling conclusion to a year defined by the Legion XIII captain’s consistency.

Rahm started Sunday at -11 (T9) and launched a spectacular closing surge at The Club at Chatham Hills: five birdies on the front nine, an eagle at 13, a bogey at 14, and four straight birdies from 15 to 18 to reach -22 and earn a spot in the playoff. In the extra hole at 18, Muñoz hit a superb second shot and holed a birdie from inside two meters; Rahm had a look but it stayed out. Muñoz claimed his first LIV title; Rahm took home the year’s biggest prize.

Season champion… without a weekly win

With his runner-up finish in Indianapolis, Rahm closed the season on 226.16 points, ahead of Niemann (223.68), securing his second consecutive Individual Championship. He achieved it without a weekly victory, built on relentless consistency (four runner-up finishes and only one week outside the top 10 in 13 events). “Winning it without lifting a weekly trophy is something to be proud of,” he noted after the ceremony.

A marquee event from start to finish

Indianapolis delivered moments to remember: Muñoz opened with 59 on Friday, Torque GC posted -64 in total to win the team title by 10 shots over Legion XIII, and the event drew more than 60,000 fans over three days—a LIV record in the United States.
