The player from Barrika finished runner-up at LIV Golf Indianapolis after producing a superb final-round 63 and captained Legion XIII to their second consecutive Team Championship. Rahm ends 2026 with the season’s two major titles: the Individual Championship and the team crown.

Jon Rahm brought the curtain down on the 2026 LIV Golf season in perfect fashion in Indianapolis. The Legion XIII captain, who had already mathematically secured his third consecutive Individual Championship in New York, added the Team Championship alongside Tyrrell Hatton, Caleb Surratt and Tom McKibbin. It was a hugely significant double —individual and team champion— that completed another outstanding campaign.

It was certainly not a routine final event for Jon. Rahm fought until the last hole to add the LIV Golf Indianapolis individual title to his collection. He opened the tournament at The Club at Chatham Hills with consecutive rounds of 67, three under par, to reach the halfway point at six under. Legion XIII, meanwhile, began the week in second place in the team standings, just two shots off the lead.

On Saturday, Jon stepped up the pace with a round of 66. He began the final day at ten under par, three shots behind leader Michael La Sasso and still firmly in contention in a tightly packed leaderboard. At the same time, Legion XIII completed their comeback in the team competition and moved into first place at 34 under, one shot ahead of HyFlyers GC.

Rahm launched a magnificent charge in the final round. He signed for a seven-under-par 63 and climbed the leaderboard to put himself right in the battle for victory. The Spaniard, who had started his round on the second hole, made birdie at the par-five 18th to move into the outright lead.

Only the first hole, his final hole of the championship, remained. There, he was unable to save par from just over three metres and closed with a bogey that left him tied with La Sasso. The young American responded shortly afterwards with a birdie on the 18th to win at 18 under. Rahm finished second on 17 under, only one shot behind the champion, after rounds of 67, 67, 66 and 63.

“Michael earned it. It is frustrating, but I am happy with all the good things I did this week to give myself a chance,” Jon said after narrowly missing out on the individual victory.

Legion XIII reign again

The reward came in the team competition. Legion XIII started the final round with a one-shot advantage and produced a spectacular start. In barely 90 minutes, Rahm, Hatton, Surratt and McKibbin had provisionally stretched their lead to ten shots.

Jon’s team completed the day with a combined score of ten under par and finished the championship at 44 under, six shots ahead of HyFlyers GC and eight clear of Ripper GC. Legion XIII therefore successfully defended the Team Championship they won in 2025 and secured the title for the second consecutive season.

The victory completed Rahm’s great double in 2026. The Spaniard ended the year as individual champion for the third consecutive season and team champion for the second year in a row. In his first three years in LIV Golf, he has collected three Individual Championships, four individual tournament victories, two Team Championships and ten regular-season wins with Legion XIII. That makes a total of 19 trophies and establishes him as the most decorated player in LIV Golf history.

Next stop: the Amgen Irish Open

Jon will now change circuits and return to the DP World Tour. His next appearance will be at the Amgen Irish Open, which will be played from September 10 to 13 at Trump International Golf Links Ireland in Doonbeg, County Clare.

Rahm has a very special relationship with the Irish championship. He has already won it twice: at Portstewart Golf Club in 2017 and Lahinch Golf Club in 2019. The Barrika native will return to Ireland aiming to contend for a third title in one of the most prestigious national opens on the European calendar.

Jon Rahm mathematically secured his third consecutive season-long Individual Championship at LIV Golf New York. The Legion XIII captain became the first player in league history to claim the crowns in 2024, 2025 and 2026, and he completed the three-peat with one regular-season tournament still to be played.

Bedminster did not produce Jon’s best tournament, but it confirmed the value of everything he had achieved throughout the year. A season-long race is not decided by a single week, and the considerable advantage Rahm had built through his victories, runner-up finishes and sustained consistency allowed him to secure the main objective even while searching for his usual level.

Jon opened LIV Golf New York with a one-over 72, leaving him tied for 24th. He improved with an even-par 71 on Friday and reached the halfway point on +1 and tied for 27th. At that stage, he remained seven shots ahead of Bryson DeChambeau, the only player who still retained a mathematical chance of catching him in the standings.

Rahm posted a two-over 73 on Saturday to move to +3 and a share of 32nd place. The final round was his most difficult of the week, with a five-over 76 leaving him on +8 and tied for 41st. His four scores were 72, 71, 73 and 76 on a Trump National Golf Club Bedminster course that severely punished mistakes throughout the event.

Rahm had deliberately avoided focusing on the calculations during the previous rounds. It was only before Sunday’s play that he asked his agent and caddie what needed to happen for him to clinch the championship. Their answer underlined the strength of his position: DeChambeau required a major climb up the leaderboard while Jon would also have needed to lose considerably more ground.

At the end of Sunday, Rahm had 944.54 points, compared with 726.20 for DeChambeau. The gap stood at 218.34 points, while victory in the final regular-season event was worth a maximum of 200. His third consecutive title was therefore mathematically secure before Indianapolis.

The 2026 crown had been built long before New York. Jon won in Hong Kong and Mexico City, added four runner-up finishes and placed inside the top ten in eight of his first nine starts of the season. That combination of victories and remarkable consistency created an advantage none of his pursuers could overcome.

The achievement becomes even more significant when placed alongside his first three LIV Golf seasons. In 2024, he secured the title by winning in Chicago. In 2025, he came from behind in the final regular-season event in Indianapolis with a second-place finish. In 2026, he did not need to wait until the finale, wrapping up the championship with an event to spare.

Across his first two campaigns, Rahm finished outside the top ten only once in 25 completed tournaments. After the final round in New York, DeChambeau highlighted how difficult Jon’s extraordinary consistency since joining the league has been to describe — and even harder to match.

“It’s been a great year… it’s been something to be proud of,” Rahm said after securing the championship. Jon acknowledged the slightly bittersweet feeling created by his performance at Bedminster, while also recognising the exceptional standard he had produced earlier in the campaign and the advantage he had earned.

Joaquín Niemann won LIV Golf New York on -16, while Legion XIII finished tied for second in the team competition alongside Torque GC. Jon left Bedminster with a modest tournament result on the scorecard but with the season’s biggest prize already secured: LIV Golf Individual Champion for the third time in his three seasons in the league.

Jon Rahm finished tied for 23rd at LIV Golf UK on four under par after rounds of 73, 70, 71 and 70. Just four days after completing The Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, the Barrika golfer responded solidly to a difficult start and contributed to Legion XIII’s runner-up finish in the team competition.

Rahm faced one of the most demanding transitions on the calendar at JCB Golf & Country Club. He had completed the final Major of the season at Royal Birkdale on Sunday and was back in competition in Rocester on Thursday. He was also returning to a particularly meaningful venue, having claimed his first individual LIV Golf victory there in 2024.

The opening round proved to be the most challenging of the week. Jon signed for a one-over 73 after a stretch of four bogeys in five holes during the middle of his round. He stopped the slide quickly, settled his scorecard over the closing holes and ended the day tied for 38th. It was only his third over-par round in his first 37 regular-season rounds of the LIV Golf campaign, another illustration of his remarkable consistency.

The response began on Friday. Rahm carded a two-under 70 to move to one under for the tournament. His long game regained its customary accuracy as he found 14 of 18 greens in regulation, one of the best totals in the field that day. The round moved him into a tie for 31st and allowed him to put the difficult start behind him.

He maintained that progress on Saturday with a one-under 71 in more demanding, windy conditions. Jon reached two under overall and contributed to another good team round from Legion XIII, which entered Sunday in third place at -29.

Rahm broke par again in the final round. His closing 70 completed a run of three consecutive under-par scores and left him on 284 shots, four under par, and tied for 23rd.

Legion XIII also produced an excellent comeback in the team competition. Jon, Tyrrell Hatton, Caleb Surratt and Tom McKibbin combined for a superb 19-under final round, climbed into second place at -48 and finished only four shots behind Ripper GC. Hatton was the individual runner-up, while Lucas Herbert claimed the title with an exceptional total of -30.

Although the individual result was not what Jon had been seeking at a venue where he had already won, the week provided several positives. He followed the opening 73 with three rounds under par, once again contributed to a strong Legion XIII performance and retained a highly favourable position in the race for the season-long title.

Rahm left the United Kingdom with 938.44 points and a 219.04-point advantage over Bryson DeChambeau. The American reduced the deficit with his third-place finish, but Jon retained a substantial cushion heading into LIV Golf New York and continued to control his own destiny in pursuit of a third consecutive Individual Championship.

Jon Rahm finished the 154th Open Championship tied for 46th on level par after completing his four rounds at Royal Birkdale in 69, 67, 70 and 74 shots.

The Barrika golfer entered the weekend inside the top ten and reached Sunday with an opportunity to move closer to the leaders, although a difficult final round eventually caused him to lose ground on the leaderboard.

Jon opened the championship with a solid 69, one under par, which left him tied for 24th. Consecutive bogeys at the 14th and 15th slowed his progress during the closing stretch, but he responded with a birdie at the 17th and ended the day as part of a sizeable group of contenders.

His biggest move came on Friday. Rahm carded a 67, three under par, to reach -4 and climb into a share of eighth place, four shots off the lead.

After negotiating a more uncomfortable spell during the second half of the course, he responded with birdies at the 16th and 17th and created another opportunity at the 18th. It was a high-quality finish that placed him firmly in contention for the championship.

His second-round scorecard once again demonstrated his ability to find answers during the course of a round. Rahm remained patient when the results were not immediately coming and produced his best golf at precisely the right moment.

After 36 holes, Jon was inside the top ten and retained every chance of challenging over the weekend for his first Claret Jug.

The third round began with a significant setback. His tee shot at the first went out of bounds and resulted in a double bogey. Jon nevertheless managed to rebuild his scorecard and recorded four birdies over the remainder of the course to sign for a level-par 70.

That effort kept him at -4, tied for 11th and six shots behind the leader ahead of the final round.

Sunday was again affected from the opening hole by a tee shot that went out of bounds and another double bogey. Rahm responded with a birdie at the fifth and continued searching for a comeback, but he was unable to generate the momentum required to move closer to the leading positions.

His closing 74, four over par, left him with a total of 280 shots and an overall score of level par at Royal Birkdale.

The final position did not fully reflect a week in which Jon had risen to eighth place after two rounds and stood tied for 11th with only 18 holes remaining.

His opening scores of 69 and 67 showed that he had the game required to compete near the top of the leaderboard, while his recovery on Saturday after the early double bogey once again demonstrated his resilience and ability to remain involved in the tournament.

Ryan Fox eventually won the championship on ten under par, one shot ahead of Cameron Young. Rahm completed Royal Birkdale at level par after once again reaching the weekend of a Major championship with opportunities to contend.

It was not the finish he had hoped for, but the week produced two high-quality opening rounds and several passages of golf that matched the very best players in the field at the final Major of the season.

The Barrika golfer finished tied for 36th at the Genesis Scottish Open on four under par after rounds of 73, 65, 68 and 70. Jon responded superbly to a difficult start and used the week at The Renaissance Club to rebuild momentum on Scottish soil ahead of The Open Championship.

Jon Rahm completed a week of steady improvement at the Genesis Scottish Open, a Rolex Series event co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and PGA Tour. Making his first appearance in the tournament since 2022, the Barrika golfer finished with a total of 276, four under par, and tied for 36th. Beyond the final position, his performance provided an impressive demonstration of resilience: after opening with a 73, he played the remaining three rounds in a combined seven under par.

The opening round was Jon’s most demanding of the week. He signed for a three-over 73 after struggling to find consistent momentum during much of the day. However, he finished on an important positive note. Consecutive birdies at the 15th and 16th allowed him to regain ground and prevented the scorecard from moving further away from the projected cut line.

His response on Friday was outstanding. Rahm carded a five-under 65 featuring six birdies and only one bogey. He made early gains at the tenth and 12th and, after dropping a shot at the 14th, produced his best golf over his second nine. Birdies at the first, second and sixth set up a memorable finish at the par-three ninth.

With his place in the tournament on the line, Jon struck an excellent iron shot from close to 200 metres and left the ball very near the hole. The closing birdie completed a superb comeback, moved him to two under par and secured his place in the weekend field. The 65 was his lowest round of the week and confirmed an immediate reaction to Thursday’s difficulties.

Rahm maintained his momentum with another under-par score in the third round. Saturday’s 68 featured one of his highlights of the tournament, an eagle at the par-five seventh. He also made consecutive birdies at the 13th and 14th and successfully offset bogeys at the sixth and 15th. The two-under round moved his tournament total to -4 ahead of Sunday.

The final round began particularly well. Jon birdied the fourth, fifth and eighth holes to move three under for the day and seven under for the championship. He added another birdie at the par-five 12th, although a few mistakes during the second half of the round halted his progress. He closed with an even-par 70, retained his four-under total and climbed several places on the final leaderboard.

South Korea’s Tom Kim won the tournament on 17 under par after producing an excellent final-round 64. It was his first DP World Tour title and his maiden Rolex Series victory.

Jon left The Renaissance Club having posted three consecutive rounds at par or better and played his final 54 holes in seven under. The finishing position did not fully reflect the quality of several stretches of his golf, but his response from Friday onwards, his ability to construct under-par rounds and his progressive adaptation to the Scottish conditions provided plenty of encouragement ahead of The Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.

Jon Rahm completed his US Open appearance at Shinnecock Hills on six over par after two contrasting rounds of 68 and 78. The 2021 champion finished two shots outside the cut line, which was set at +4, and was unable to compete over the weekend.

The final outcome should not overshadow Jon’s exceptional performance in the opening round. The Barrika golfer completed the demanding Shinnecock Hills course in 68 shots, two under par, without making a single bogey.

It was the first bogey-free competitive round recorded at the venue since 2004 and the first in the last 753 scorecards completed there in competition.

Rahm built the round on tremendous solidity, recording two birdies and 16 pars at one of the most demanding venues in American golf. The most spectacular moment came at the par-three 17th, his eighth hole of the day after starting from the tenth tee.

Jon holed a 61-foot putt —more than 18 metres— to move into a share of the championship lead at that point.

Thursday provided an impressive display of control, patience and accuracy. Jon consistently placed the ball in the correct positions, avoided the major mistakes that so often determine the outcome of a US Open and finished the day near the top of a leaderboard filled with former Major champions.

The second round developed very differently. Rahm was unable to find the same level of consistency, and a particularly difficult spell during the second half of his round moved him away from the cut line. His 78, eight over par, took his total to +6 and brought his participation in the third Major of the season to an end.

The result interrupted an unusually strong recent record in the championship. Jon had finished inside the top 12 in each of his previous four US Open appearances: champion at Torrey Pines in 2021, 12th at The Country Club in 2022, tenth at Los Angeles Country Club in 2023 and seventh at Oakmont in 2025.

It was not the result Jon was looking for after placing himself in such a promising position on Thursday, but his opening round remained one of the most impressive performances of the week.

Completing Shinnecock Hills without a bogey demonstrated the level his game can reach on the most demanding stages and provided a positive reference on which to continue building.

The US Open ended earlier than Jon would have wanted, but it also produced a historic scorecard. His opening 68 confirmed that Rahm retains all his ability to contend in Major championships and produce his finest golf when every shot requires precision, strategy and patience.

Jon Rahm once again produced a top-class performance in front of the Spanish fans at LIV Golf Andalucía. The Barrika golfer finished solo second at Real Club Valderrama on nine under par after rounds of 73, 67, 68 and 67. Tyrrell Hatton claimed the individual title at -11, completing an outstanding week for Legion XIII, which also won the team competition.

Valderrama underlined its enormous difficulty from the opening day. The wind and the demanding nature of a course that punishes even the slightest mistake pushed the scoring average above 72.5 in the first round. Jon opened with a 73, two over par. The score did not fully reflect the quality of his play from tee to green, but it left him needing to make ground over the remaining three rounds.

The response came immediately on Friday. Rahm produced an excellent 67, four under par, matching the lowest score of the day and moving into a share of seventh place at -2. The Spaniard played his final 14 holes in five under par and found the accuracy and control required to create many more birdie opportunities.

Jon maintained that momentum during the third round. His 68, three under par, took him to -5 for the tournament and into a share of fourth place. He began the final 18 holes five shots behind Hatton, but remained among the group of contenders ready to take advantage of any opportunity Valderrama might offer.

The final round produced some of Jon’s finest moments of the week. He made birdie at the second before recording a spectacular eagle at the par-five fourth, following a 362-yard drive with an eight iron that finished around five feet from the hole.

After a quieter spell with fewer opportunities, he accelerated again over the closing holes and came extremely close to a hole-in-one at the 15th. His 67, four under par, once again matched the lowest round of the day and lifted him into solo second place, two shots behind Hatton.

Beyond the final result, the week provided another impressive demonstration of Jon’s quality with his irons. Rahm led the entire field in strokes gained on approach, recording a cumulative figure of +11.43 over the four rounds. That statistic helps to explain his ability to recover from the opening 73 and reach Sunday with a genuine chance of victory.

The outcome was also outstanding for Legion XIII. Jon’s team began the final round eight shots behind 4Aces GC but was the only side to finish Sunday under par. Its combined score of -7 secured a successful defence of the Valderrama team title by six shots and delivered the tenth regular-season victory in Legion XIII’s history.

Although the individual title remained just out of reach, Rahm was able to celebrate the success of his teammate and the whole of Legion XIII. It was Jon’s fourth runner-up finish in his opening nine appearances of the season, a run that also included two victories and allowed him to extend his advantage at the top of the LIV Golf individual standings.

The week at Valderrama once again highlighted his remarkable consistency and his ability to remain in contention until the closing holes, even after a difficult start.

Jon Rahm completed an outstanding week at the PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, where he finished tied for second on six under par. The player from Barrika once again showed his ability to compete on the most demanding stages in world golf and left the second major of the season with another performance of great consistency.

Rahm produced four controlled rounds, always in the fight and always close to the top of the leaderboard. Scores of 69, 70, 67 and 68 gave him a 274 total, tied for second alongside Alex Smalley and three shots behind champion Aaron Rai, who claimed the title on nine under par.

It was a week that built steadily. Jon opened the tournament with a solid 69, a round that immediately placed him in a good position. On Friday, he stayed in touch with a hard-earned 70 on a demanding day, and on Saturday he made a significant move with a 67 that put him firmly in contention for the Wanamaker Trophy. On a course like Aronimink, where every mistake came at a price, Rahm once again showed one of his great strengths: competing all the way to the finish.

He closed the championship on Sunday with a 68, another under-par round on a day of maximum pressure. The victory did not come, but there was another confirmation of his stature in major championships. Rahm was once again exactly where he wants to be: in the title conversation, near the top of the leaderboard and fighting deep into the final stretch for a third major title.

The PGA Championship at Aronimink leaves a very positive reading for Jon. Beyond the result itself, his game showed up again on a stage of the highest difficulty and against one of the strongest fields of the year. The runner-up finish strengthens the feeling that Rahm remains firmly established among the leading contenders whenever a Grand Slam event comes around.

Aaron Rai ultimately took the title with a brilliant final round and a nine-under total, while Rahm and Smalley shared second place on six under. Other major names inside the top ten included Cameron Smith, Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele, who finished tied for seventh.

For Jon, Aronimink was another week that underlined his competitive stature. There was no trophy, but there was presence, consistency, ambition and a performance of the highest level in one of the most important tournaments on the calendar. Another step forward in a season in which he continues to collect prestigious results and very solid signs.

Jon Rahm closed out his LIV Golf Korea campaign with a strong final round and the certainty of remaining at the top of LIV Golf’s Individual Standings. The player from Barrika finished tied for 16th at Asiad Country Club in Busan on four under par after rounds of 70, 68, 71 and 67.

It was not Jon’s brightest week in terms of final result, especially given how consistently he has lived near the top of leaderboards, but it did leave a positive conclusion. Rahm responded on Sunday with his best round of the week, a three-under 67 that allowed him to move up the standings, finish inside the top 20 and leave Korea with a commanding lead in the season-long individual race.

Asiad Country Club proved to be a demanding test throughout the week. The Busan course offered few easy opportunities and punished mistakes, especially when players missed fairways. Rahm opened with an even-par 70 and then moved forward on Friday with a 68 to reach two under for the tournament. A third-round 71 slowed his progress on Saturday, but the Basque player found better rhythm again in the final round.

That Sunday 67 was the most encouraging part of Jon’s week. It was a solid, controlled round, with greater sharpness and more chances created, allowing him to finish the tournament with positive feelings before the next stretch of the calendar. In a week in which he was unable to fully enter the battle for victory, Rahm once again showed his ability to compete all the way to the end and make the most of the final round.

LIV Golf Korea also produced a notable marker in Jon’s season. His Saturday round of 71 ended a remarkable streak of 40 consecutive under-par rounds in LIV Golf. That number alone underlines the extraordinary consistency the Spanish player has shown since joining the league. His answer came just 24 hours later, with a final-round 67.

Rahm also stood out from the tee once again. He led the field for the week in average driving distance at 311.3 yards, another example of his ability to attack demanding courses with both power and control.

The individual title went to Joaquin Niemann, who defeated Talor Gooch on the first playoff hole after both players finished on 12 under par. The Chilean claimed his eighth individual LIV Golf title. Bryson DeChambeau finished third on 11 under, one shot outside the playoff, while Crushers GC won the team title on 23 under, ahead of OKGC and Ripper GC.

In the team competition, Legion XIII played the week with a line-up affected by the absence of Tyrrell Hatton. The Englishman did not play the tournament, with Max Rottluff stepping in alongside Rahm, Tom McKibbin and Caleb Surratt.

Busan did not deliver Jon Rahm’s highest finish of the season, but it did bring a final-round response, another week of points and, above all, confirmation that he remains in the most important position in the standings: number one in LIV Golf.

Jon Rahm closed out his appearance at Maaden LIV Golf Virginia with another display of competitiveness and consistency. The golfer from Barrika finished tied for eighth at Trump National Golf Club Washington D.C., in Sterling, Virginia, on fifteen under par after rounds of 69, 70, 65 and 69.

It was not Jon’s brightest week in terms of directly contending for victory, but he once again left very positive signs. Rahm found a way to finish inside the top ten, remain among the best players in the field and produce one of the most spectacular moments of the tournament: an albatross on the 17th hole during the final round.

Sunday’s finish had a little bit of everything. Rahm started strongly, with a birdie on the 1st and an eagle on the 2nd, a fast start that allowed him to build early momentum. More difficult moments followed, particularly with a bogey on the 5th and a double bogey on the 10th, as well as dropped shots on the 13th and 14th. However, the Basque player never stopped fighting and produced a magnificent response down the stretch.

The standout shot of the week came on the par-5 17th. After sending his tee shot into the right rough, Rahm holed his second shot from more than 190 metres to record an albatross. It was the first albatross of his professional career and one of the most special moments of the LIV Golf season. It was the kind of shot that remains forever in the memory of a tournament.

That two on the par 5 allowed him to close with a final round of 69, three under par, and secure a place inside the top ten. Rahm finished tied for eighth alongside Scott Vincent and Joaquin Niemann, nine shots behind champion Lucas Herbert, who won in commanding fashion on 24 under par. Sergio Garcia was second on 20 under, with Bryson DeChambeau completing the podium on 19 under.

Jon’s best round came on Saturday, with a superb 65 that moved him back into the upper part of the leaderboard. That day he made six birdies and an eagle, giving back only one bogey and one double bogey, in a scorecard that reflected both his ability to create plenty of chances and his competitive persistence even in a week of ups and downs.

In the team standings, Legion XIII, the team captained by Rahm, was also in the fight once again. The line-up of Jon, Tyrrell Hatton, Caleb Surratt and Tom McKibbin finished in third place, just one shot behind 4Aces GC and Fireballs GC, who tied at the top before the team title was decided in a playoff.

Virginia ultimately delivered another solid result for Rahm in a season defined by his remarkable consistency. The victory did not come, but there was another top ten, a steady performance and a historic shot that neatly summed up the Spanish player’s ability to produce extraordinary moments even when the week does not end with a trophy in his hands.
