Jon Rahm is back in action today in the Wells Fargo Championship. The golfer from Barrika will compete again after a three-week break after the Masters at Augusta. A well-deserved and necessary break to recharge his batteries and to come back strong.

Rahm took advantage of the down time to rest, tend to various publicity and media deals and to train and prepare for the next stretch of competition. This week he’ll play in the Wells Fargo and the following week in THE PLAYERS Championship, one of the most important events of the season.

The Wells Fargo will be held at the Eagle Point Golf Club in North Carolina, in Wilmington. Not the habitual headquarters for this tournament, although there’s a logical reason for the change in venue. The Quail Hollow course, host to the Wells Fargo under normal circumstances, will be hosting the PGA Championship in August.

Competing in a tournament on a course that’s new to everyone seems to be in Jon’s favor. He’s still in his rookie season, which means he has that small disadvantage compared to the rest of the golfers, because he’s not as familiar with the courses yet as those who have been playing in the PGA Tour for various years.

Rahm will play this Thursday starting at 6:55 pm (Spanish time), with Wesley Bryan, good friend of Jon’s, and British golfer Paul Casey. He’ll play on Friday starting at 1:45 pm, Spanish time.
